Shadow Captain is the brainchild of Liverpool singer-songwriter and musician Stuart Todd.
Starting out as a bass player in various bands, early gigs supporting folk legends Davy Graham and Dave Swarbrick served as an apprenticeship. After working with Neil Campbell in the acoustic duo Campbell Todd, Stuart fronted his own group The Freebies; to promote his first solo album A Question Of Time before going on to enjoy success as an award-winning promoter with Liverpool Acoustic alongside Graham Holland.
The artist would reinvent himself as a politically charged performer with Three Minute Hero, which fused the classic three minute pop song by giving it a subversive lyrical twist. Re-establishing himself under the name of Shadow Captain, the artist has been in the studio to record a new album with respected producer and engineer Andy Fernihough. On radio BBC Music Introducing have featured the tracks The Room's Too Bare and Hey Django. All music from the artist is available to stream and download from Bandcamp
